You might have heard about the Justice Department’s suit against Apple and some book publishers regarding alleged eBook price gouging. I find the entire thing kind of baffling. I like eBooks – I even sell my books electronically, so I guess you can consider that full disclosure. But I don’t feel a burning need to be protected from evil eBook publishers. If the book is too expensive, I won’t buy it.
Here’s something I’d like the government to protect: my liberty! My vote! Urgh. This has got to be the worst Justice Department in the history of Justice Departments. Anyway, if you want a more coherent explanation of the eBook anti-trust case, watch the video below.
