Anyone but Mitt

It’s enough to drive one to drink – not that I need much prodding.  Rick Perry, gives a speech where it looks like he’s drunk and Cain is getting hit with sexual harrassment allegations.  Here’s why I don’t care:

I’m not certain Perry was under the influence, though it’s definitely an odd speech.  But we’ve had some excellent Presidents who could put the booze away. John Adams drank beer for breakfast.  Frankly, I wish Obama spent more time sleeping it off and less time making up bad policies.

Re: Cain, sexual harassment hasn’t mattered for politicians since Clinton.  After all, Gloria Steinem argued the “one free grope” for the boss theory – as long as the boss takes “no” for an answer, it’s okay.  Meh.  I don’t actually care what Gloria Steinem thinks – this whole “you made me uncomfortable now pay me millions of dollars” thing just seems lame.

Finally, please, pleeeeease not Romney!!!

About Mystic Cowgirl

I worked overseas in the aid game for longer than I'd like to admit and learned several important things: 1) Third World countries aren't poor because America is rich. They're impoverished due to socialist governments that provide neither rule of law nor basic infrastructures; 2) These socialist governments redistribute wealth from taxpayers to the government workers. There's no benefit to the poor or downtrodden, and certainly not to the general welfare in terms of infrastructure improvements. 3) America is moving toward the Third World model. Rule of law has been subverted because equality under the law is disappearing as special interests carve out exemptions to regulations and special favors under the law. The redistribution of wealth to government began decades ago -- total compensation for government employees now outpaces salaries in the private sector.
