TGI Greg Gutfeld

Has there been an uptick in Democrats calling Tea Partiers/conservatives/Republicans/anyone-who-disagrees-with-them racist?  Congressmen Andre Carson said the Tea Party wants to see blacks “hanging on a tree.”  And he’s not taking it back.  Al Gore equated climate skeptics with racists.  And Rep. Maxine Waters…  Oh, who cares what she thinks?

Part of me feels that when the Democrats start screeching about racism, we’ve won the argument.  But another part of me knows that their tactic is effective.  Here on the Left Coast, I have some very nice liberal friends who hear the charges of racism on the MSM and buy into them.  So when will the racism charge start appearing as ridiculous to everyone else as it does to me?

I think this can only happen when conservatives start treating these charges as such.  And here lies one of the many reasons why I enjoy watching Red Eye’s Greg Gutfeld, who tackles this head-on at the end of his Greg-alogues.  We need to stop justifying and denying we’re racist and start treating these charges with what they deserve: derision.

About Mystic Cowgirl

I worked overseas in the aid game for longer than I'd like to admit and learned several important things: 1) Third World countries aren't poor because America is rich. They're impoverished due to socialist governments that provide neither rule of law nor basic infrastructures; 2) These socialist governments redistribute wealth from taxpayers to the government workers. There's no benefit to the poor or downtrodden, and certainly not to the general welfare in terms of infrastructure improvements. 3) America is moving toward the Third World model. Rule of law has been subverted because equality under the law is disappearing as special interests carve out exemptions to regulations and special favors under the law. The redistribution of wealth to government began decades ago -- total compensation for government employees now outpaces salaries in the private sector.
