“Freedom of Information laws are used to harass scientists” – and it’s about time

It gives me much joy that my first blog post ever concerns climate “scientists” whining about Freedom of Information requests. In this case, British scientists, who complain that some critics actually have the temerity “to trawl through scientists’ work with the intention of trying to find problems and errors.”

Uh, isn’t that rather the point of the scientific process? I also like the quote from a Bob Ward of the Grantham Research Institute at the London School of Economics.  “It’s also quite true that these people do not care about the fact that it is causing a serious inconvenience.”  Unlike the minor inconveniences of cap-and-trade, higher energy costs, lost oil and coal jobs, higher food costs…
